So the Middlesex Class of '78 made a strong pledge and set a sustainable precedent: raise $78,000 to reduce the school’s carbon footprint by 30%.

The alumni reached their ambitious goal. The funds purchased recycling bins for every dorm room residency and replaced a tree damaged during Hurricane Sandy with a healthy, white oak tree.
